The City of Eagle Grove, along with the Community Development Corporation (CDC), is excited to announce that a two-year option plan has been signed for a 148 acre housing development near the Eagle Grove Elementary school.
Plans are in the very early stages, but the two entities are excited about all the possibilities this acquisition holds. With the anticipation of families moving to Eagle Grove in connection with Prestage Foods opening later this fall, the City of Eagle Grove is making sure we have places for them to live. They believe in a development close to the schools will be an attractive option.
According to City Administrator Bryce Davis, in addition to the singlehousing units and the multifamily rental properties, the development will feature a multi-acre retention pond.
